A nineteenth-century gold-mounted goldstone aventurine glass vinaigrette, of oval form, mounted in high-carat gold, the hinged cover opens to reveal a perforated hinged grille.

Note: the manufacturing process for goldstone was developed in seventeenth-century Venice, by artisans working with Murano Glass.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. Free from damage. Both hinges are good and strong, and the piece closes well.
