HESTER BATEMAN

A VERY ATTRACTIVE GEORGE III SILVER NEOCLASSICAL TEAPOT, 
oval straight-sided body with straight spout and bright-cut engraving, the domed lid with flush hinge and applied bead mount detail. The body with two blank escutcheon shaped cartouche. Turned fruitwood handle and finial. Full and clear hallmarks struck to the underside of the piece and correct part-marks struck to the underside of the hinged cover. Hester Bateman. London, 1787.

Condition: Overall, condition of this piece is good. No repairs. No patches. The decoration is still crisp and the bead edge is most pleasing. Wear to be expected, commensurate with age and use.
