An early twentieth century Italian silver mounted blonde tortoiseshell box, the silver with intricate foliate decoration, the top and bottom cover inset with panels of blonde tortoiseshell. With twin scroll thumbpiece similarly embellished.
 
The flange with Italian control marks for Florence and stamped '800', c.1930.
